2025 Vagabonds Recap

2025, what a year!

The Vagabonds had a busy year, regularly participating in tournaments, tours and

exhibition games across the region. In addition to annual tournaments such as

the Phuket 11s, Krabi 10s and Pattaya 10s the tour calendar expanded to include

two fantastic tournaments; the KL Tigers Rugby Fest held in Kuala Lumpur in late

August and the RBSC 10s, held at the Royal Bangkok Sports Club in Bangkok in

November. The team were thrilled to take home silverware in the later.

Additionally, the club welcomed the touring Gulf Legends, all the way from

Bahrain for Saturday exhibition match at the ACG. Other exhibition matches

included the annual North vs South Internal Charity match and a special Lions

Nations v Rest of the World (not so friendly) match also held at the ACG.

In efforts to expand the game across the island, new focus was put on the

developing the Monday night touch rugby crowd and culminated in a very

successful Touch Rugby Tournament held at the ACG Phuket wit participating

teams from across Phuket and a touring team from the Pattaya Panthers.

Plans are now well underway for 2026 with the aim to participate in more regional

tournaments, continued efforts to drive touch rugby and welcome more touring

teams to the beautiful shores of Phuket, home of the Vagabonds.
